The summertime can be a time of unwise spending, both of time and money. As disciples of Jesus, we are called to be good stewards of that which God so generously gives (our daily hours and bread) so that there will be a profit to our labor (Luke 12:41-48). So let's not squander our summer brothers and sisters on selfish couch-warming or expensive outings. Instead there's a lot to choose from in L.A. that could open doors to meet new people, build memories with our spiritual family and keep the cash in the pocket!
